The Babbitt Brothers Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides opportunities to participate in the health, education, science, arts and historic preservation of Northern Arizona communities as a way of meeting needs, giving back and enhancing the quality of life in communities where Babbitt Ranches does business. The Foundation participates with individuals, organizations, businesses and foundations who share a common interest in supporting activities such as fitness walks/runs, food drives, student scholarships, science research and conservation projects, arts promotion and protection, and historic preservation.
LifeScapes provides a venue through which Babbitt Ranches participates with the community with a genuine consideration for others. Babbitt Ranches is a Community within a Community integrated with broadly diverse groups of individuals with varying thoughts, interests, skills and history. Projects the foundation supports include the Open Hands Country Beef initiative was developed for the sale of Babbitt Ranches grass-fed, hormone-free ground beef to support organizations such as Northland Hospice, the Poore Medical Clinic and the Flagstaff Family Food Center: Food Bank and Kitchen. This provides Babbitt’s beef to our community with a “Your Price Not Ours” philosophy, allowing participants to name their own price as their donation to these organizations. Beef not sold during community activities such as the Annual Colt and is then donated to local food banks.
Other activities supported include recreational activities which support fitness and the exploration of Arizona’s geology, wildlife, livestock, scenic views and wide open spaces such as the Flagstaff to Grand Canyon Stagecoach Line, 100 Mile Ultra Relay, and SP Crater Marathon. These events raise money to support organizations such as the Arizona Trail Association.
With yourself , with family and friends, with the community and with the environment, one way or another and in the end, relationships are all there is. Thus, it’s simply not just about things and doing things, but about the meaning of things.
